 BookWriter™ Professional: Composition Features
Your documents are your sales ambassadors. The more professional they are, the better your results. It's becoming increasingly important for sellers to be able to produce quality compositions quickly. These include catalogs, quotes, special offers and other buying incentives.
Savvy sellers who create documents on demand to send to prospective buyers enjoy a true competitive advantage. Online sellers in particular know these can easily be a major source of revenue — sometimes even their most important source! Responding to inquiries, producing custom catalogs, personalized enticements, closeout sales, etc., are all very cost-effective sales tools. But, these require sophisticated data manipulations, beyond the ability of most users of Access™ and other off-the-shelf databases.
BookWriter Professional offers a broad scope of composition features to produce documents on demand. These include catalogs, quotes, price lists, special reports, want lists and many others. The screen shots below represent only a portion of the available features.

Catalogs can be produced on demand and processed in any number of ways, depending on your needs. Output can be in plain text, RTF (Rich Text Format) or HTML. The screen shot below shows a simple catalog composed and presented in rich text format in BookWriter's Document Editor:

Similarly, quotes can be produced for specific customers. This is a great way to generate instant sales, especially when using your Contact Database to organize records by a client's areas of interest. Note that this example is a simple rich text format (RTF) document — other formats including HTML can also be produced, providing sophisticated page-layout capabilities.

Aside from printing and mailing documents, quotes and catalogs can be instantly directed to customers over the Internet simply by sending them as e-mail. Composed documents can generally be sent as part of the body of a message in most programs & browsers, or optionally as an email attachment:

Text composition is controlled through a very simple dialogue that allows you to select the source of records, the destination, and any price adjustments you might want to make on the fly:

All other composition parameters are controlled through the Setup dialogue. Each tab provides control of different page and paragraph layout and style characteristics:

If you change your mind in the middle of a job, you can instantly convert any RTF (Rich Text Format) file produced with BookWriter into HTML format for presentation on the web. BookWriter's RTF to HTML Converter is a sophisticated utility for performing high-speed conversions:

There are other composition tools and utilities not shown here, including a universal File Viewer, interface with BookWriter Web and more. Additional information will be added at the earliest opportunity.
